Privacy Policy

F+ Pro ("F+", "we", "us") is a short-video app run by the F+ Pro team in Sri Lanka. This policy explains, in plain words, what information we collect when you use F+ Pro at fpluspro.site, why we need it, who helps us store it, and the choices you have. We don't sell your information and we don't show ads.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: your email address, password (stored only in a scrambled, hashed form — we can't read it), username, name, and date of birth.
• Profile: your bio and profile photo, if you add them.
• Interests: the categories you pick when you sign up.
• Videos you post: the video file, its thumbnail, caption, categories and length.
• Things you do on F+: likes, comments and replies, comment likes, follows, saved videos and shares.
• Safety actions: reports you send (with the reason and any details you write) and accounts you block.
• Support messages: anything you send us through the contact form.

Information collected while you use F+

• Watch activity: for each video you watch — how long you watched, how far you got, whether you finished or replayed it, whether you skipped it quickly, and whether you chose "Not interested". This is what makes your feed personal (see section 4).
• Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and browser type when pages load. We use Cloudflare's privacy-friendly web analytics to count visits; it doesn't use cookies to follow you around the web.

We don't collect your location, contacts, phone number or payment details, and we don't use advertising trackers.

2. How we use it

• To create your account, sign you in and keep it secure (for example, emailing you a verification or password-reset code).
• To show your profile and videos, and to make likes, comments, follows, saves and alerts work.
• To check that you're old enough to use F+ (13 or older).
• To choose and order the videos in your "For You" feed.
• To keep F+ safe: reviewing reports, hiding content that breaks our Community Guidelines, and stopping spam and abuse.
• To answer your support messages and fix problems.

3. What other people can see

When you share a video link, anyone with the link can watch that video, even without an account.

4. How the "For You" feed works

F+ picks videos for you automatically. It looks at the categories you chose at sign-up and what you do on F+ — videos you watch to the end, replay, like, comment on, save or share count as interest; quick skips and "Not interested" count against. Recent activity matters more than old activity. It also mixes in popular videos, new creators and people you follow so your feed doesn't get stuck on one thing.

This happens inside our database; your activity isn't shared with anyone else. You can tap Not interested on any video (Share › Not interested) to see fewer like it, or clear your watch history any time in Account › Settings › Privacy.

5. Services that store data for us

We use a few trusted companies to run F+. They store or process data only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — our database and sign-in system (account, profile and activity data).
• Cloudflare — website hosting, storage for videos, thumbnails and profile photos, and visit counts.
• Resend — sends our emails, such as verification and password-reset codes.

These companies may store data on servers outside Sri Lanka. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect people's safety.

6. How long we keep it

• We keep your account information for as long as your account exists.
• When you delete a video, the video file is removed from our storage and its likes, comments and saves are deleted with it.
• When your account is deleted, your profile, videos, comments, likes, follows, saves and watch activity are deleted.
• Reports may be kept for a while after they're handled, to help us keep F+ safe.
• Copies in short-lived caches and backups may take a little longer to disappear.

7. Your choices and rights

• See and change your details: Account › Settings › Edit profile.
• Edit or delete your videos: open the video › Share › Edit video or Delete video.
• Block or report people: from any video's Share sheet or their profile.
• Choose who can comment on your videos (everyone, followers or no one): Account › Settings › Privacy.
• Clear your watch history so your feed starts learning again: Account › Settings › Privacy.
• Download a copy of your data (one JSON file): Account › Settings › Privacy › Download my data.
• Delete your account and everything in it: Account › Settings › Privacy › Delete my account. If you can't sign in, ask us through the contact form.

We aim to follow applicable data-protection laws, including Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.

8. Children

F+ Pro is only for people who are 13 or older. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up and don't create accounts for younger people. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete it. If you're a parent and think your child has an account, please contact us.

9. Security

Connections to F+ are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and our database only lets each person change their own data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else.

10. Storage on your device

F+ saves a few things in your browser so the app works: your sign-in session, a copy of your profile for faster loading, and small settings (for example, which alerts you've seen). These aren't advertising cookies. Logging out clears them.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes we'll let you know in the app.
